Typhoon Games Leads Onimusha 3 PC Invasion in HK
(Hong Kong – November 22, 2005) The wait is over for Onimusha fans and PC gamers. Typhoon Games, leading publisher and developer of entertainment software, today announced their plans to distribute the critically acclaimed hit, Onimusha 3: Demon Siege in Hong Kong starting December 2005.
Onimusha 3 for the PlayStation 2 has topped the charts and received great reviews from print and Internet media alike. Curtis Hart of Adrenaline Vault heralds Demon Siege as “a title no action adventure fan should be without,” while Jeremy Dunham of IGN acknowledges that the game “could very well be one of the best overall games for the PlayStation 2.” Indeed, the arrival of Onimusha 3 for the PC is something gamers shouldn’t miss.
True to Onimusha practice, the story of Demon Siege is a combination of history and fantasy: Nine years after being defeated by Jubei Yagyu, Nobunaga Oda has come back to unlife as the Demon Lord, and is now extending the reach of his power. As the final showdown between Nobunaga and Samanosuke Akechi begins, a portal suddenly whisks Samanosuke away.
Fast-forward to present day Paris—the city was suddenly besieged by hordes of demons. In a matter of minutes, rivers of blood are running through the capital. Jacques Blanc desperately fights alongside his fellow French soldiers, but they are no match for the fiends. Out of nowhere, Samanosuke appears and slices the demons to pieces. Now, the two heroes must fight together and take you on an epic adventure that goes beyond the boundaries of space and time.
Onimusha 3: Demon Doors lets you:
- Fight through hordes of demons using two Onimusha warriors! One has returned from the past, and the other from present day. Samanosuke is back, and is joined by Hollywood actor Jean Reno as Jacques Blanc.
- Experience two separate settings: you’ll roam the streets of modern day Paris and journey through ancient Japan. You’ll encounter real landmarks like the Notre Dame Cathedral, Azuchi Castle, and the Arc de Triomphe.
- Witness stunning visuals on a whole new level of in-game CG movies! With an all-star lineup of producer Keiji Inafune, CG movie producer Mikitaka Kurasawa, movie director Takashi Yamazaki, and Hong Kong action star Donnie Yen as CG movie action choreographer, Onimusha 3 overloads you with tons of eye candy.
- Strike down your enemy in a flurry of moves using the game’s simple controls. Surpassing even the previous installments of the series, Onimusha 3: Demon Siege is the ultimate in hack-and-slash action adrenaline.
