WESTWOOD STUDIOS TO HOST "CELESTIAL CIRCUIT" IN EARTH & BEYOND Three-day in-game event begins November. 23
LAS VEGAS, NV (Nov. 18, 2002) - Fire up your engines captain, and prepare to match wit with brawn in the first ever Earth & Beyond(tm) Celestial Circuit!
From November 23, at 9 a.m. PST through November 25 at 10 p.m., Westwood Studios(tm) will host a race through the Earth & Beyond galaxy in the style of a classic scavenger hunt. Earth & Beyond is an online role-playing game published by Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS) under the EA GAMES(tm) brand.
In the Celestial Circuit, players will be given clues and must travel around the game's galaxy, solving puzzles from various in-game characters. To advance to the next checkpoint, players will need to use all their combat, exploration, and trade skills to perform a variety of activities, including fighting enemies, prospecting rare minerals, and delivering goods.
Experience points and in-game rewards will be given out as players complete steps of the Celestial Circuit. All players, regardless of race or level, can participate.
