WESTWOOD STUDIOS TO RELEASE COMBAT UPGRADES FOR EARTH & BEYOND IN NOVEMBER UPDATE

LAS VEGAS, NV (Nov. 15, 2002) - Westwood Studios(tm) today announced that the combat system of Earth & Beyond(tm) will be enhanced this month with several new features and upgrades. Earth & Beyond is an online role-playing galaxy that is published by Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS) under the EA GAMES(tm) brand.
As part of the company's commitment to continuously update Earth & Beyond, Westwood plans to add features, enhancements and content to the game on a monthly basis. This month's update adds new skills, additional enemies, and high-level, epic encounters intended for large groups of players. All are designed to enhance the combat experience for each character class.
The specific enhancements include:

Six new combat skills, one for each character archetype.

More than 50 new enemies to fight.

New behavior from the unknown aliens that are invading the galaxy.

Three new high-level, epic encounters for groups of 20 or more high-level players.
