CALABASAS HILLS, Calif. – November 13, 2002 – THQ Inc. (NASDAQ NMS: THQI) and Nickelodeon today announced the release of The Wild Thornberrys™ Movie for Nintendo’s Game Boy Advance system and PC.  Based on the highly anticipated, digitally animated theatrical release of the same name, the games mark the 13th and 14th releases under THQ and Nickelodeon’s long-standing, multi-property interactive agreement.  The Wild Thornberrys Movie for Game Boy Advance and PC is now available at major retail outlets nationwide.

“THQ is thrilled to bring The Wild Thornberrys Movie to Game Boy Advance and PC in advance of the motion picture release,” said Germaine Gioia, vice president, licensing, THQ.  “The Wild Thornberrys property is a perfect fit for the Game Boy Advance market, which is dominated by younger gamers, and PC owners who desire not only an engaging adventure game for everyone in the family, but also the educational experience typically delivered with the Wild Thornberrys.”

“THQ’s ability to develop captivating games based on quality kids’ programming makes them the ideal publisher for Nickelodeon’s chart-topping animated kids’ properties,” said Steve Youngwood, Vice President, Nickelodeon Media Products Group.  “The Wild Thornberrys fans will benefit from THQ and Nickelodeon’s multi-media approach -- the videogame launching in advance of the movie provides fans with an interactive sneak-preview before they catch the film in theaters.”

The Wild Thornberrys Movie for Game Boy Advance and PC follows Eliza and her adventurous family as they traverse the Serengeti Plain to protect its natural beauty from poachers.  Players can relive actual moments from the movie including Eliza’s escape from stampedes, Debbie’s wild motorcycle ride, and rescuing the rhinos from poachers.  Players can control one of three Wild Thornberry characters -- Eliza, Debbie or Donnie – through ten challenging levels where they can rescue cheetah cubs, rhinos, elephants and more.  The Game Boy Advance version features six puzzle and arcade mini-games, while the PC version features seven.  Each can be unlocked throughout the game for added gameplay.  Two-player mode allows engrossing, action-based games for friends and family to play together.  The Game Boy Advance version features multiplayer capabilities via the Game Boy Advance Link Cable for up to four players.
