First Expansion to Dark Age of Camelot Will Continue Mythic Entertainment's Momentum of Success

www.mythicentertainment.com) announced today that Dark Age of Camelot: Shrouded Isles (www.shroudedisles.com), the highly anticipated expansion to the fastest growing online game of all time, has gone gold. The game will be at retail outlets in North America beginning December 3rd, 2002."Dark Age of Camelot is the fastest growing massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) in North America and Europe, and the launch of Dark Age of Camelot: Shrouded Isles will only accelerate that growth," said Mark Jacobs, President of Mythic Entertainment. Dark Age of Camelot: Shrouded Isles will be distributed by Vivendi Universal Games in North America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
To date, over 500,000 people have played Dark Age of Camelot, with over 50,000 people around the world playing simultaneously at peak times. Currently there are well over 200,000 subscribers of Dark Age of Camelot, and when the game goes live in Korea this number is sure to surge further.
Dark Age of Camelot: Shrouded Isles extends the story of the original game with new character classes, new races, and three new continents. The game was developed by Mythic Entertainment and co-published with Abandon Entertainment.
