SCHOLASTIC RELEASES BIGGEST I SPY(tm) GAME EVER COMBINING THREE WORLDS OF FANTASY AND ADVENTURE
Newest Title, I SPY Fantasy, Based on Award-Winning Book and Television Series
NEW YORK (November 10, 2003) - Scholastic announced today the availability of I SPY Fantasy, the newest game in the best-selling and award-winning I SPY software series. Based on the critically acclaimed book and television series by the same name, I SPY Fantasy transports children on three very different participatory adventures-inside a sandcastle, on an alien planet and under the sea.
"The I SPY series has delighted families nationwide with its originality and unique blend of fun and learning," said Alan Waldman, Vice President and General Manager, Scholastic Retail Software. "The creation of I SPY Fantasy was inspired by the imaginations of children who were asked to select their favorite images from the I SPY Fantasy book."
In order to tap into children's imaginations, Scholastic asked a group of local elementary school students to select their favorite photographs from the I SPY Fantasy book. The children's top three photographs became the settings for the game's three adventures. I SPY Fantasy, for children ages 6-10, allows players to explore three captivating environments, each with unique characters and fantastic settings, as they play 54 challenging I SPY riddles. Each world includes a unique adventure for children-defeating a dragon in the sandcastle, repairing a spaceship to escape an alien planet or searching underwater caverns for hidden treasures. Players build vocabulary, language, and thinking skills as they explore more than 30 intriguing locations.
I SPY Fantasy is available in retail stores nationwide in a Windows/Macintosh hybrid for a suggested retail price of $19.95.
