FOX INTERACTIVE DEBUTS ORIGINAL SPY-INSPIRED MUSIC TRACKS ON ITS UPCOMING PC GAME NO ONE LIVES FOREVER
Fox and Indiespace.com Announce the Winners of the Worldwide No One Lives Forever Music Search
Fox Interactive and Indiespace.com today announced the winners of its No One Lives Forever music search. Two unsigned bands from Southern California were selected from hundreds of entries from around the world. The song "Void" by Red Delicious and "El Dorado" by the artist Archie Thompson were chosen to be featured on "In the Lounge" the special edition music tracks available on the highly anticipated PC game from Fox.
The 60's inspired "In the Lounge" music tracks are available on the PC game's second disc. The disc contains music from the search plus 8 new and original spy-inspired tracks including the game's theme song, "The Operative." The theme song as well as the 8 new tracks were created by Los Angeles-based studio musicians and personally selected by the game's Producer, Chris Miller. No One Lives Forever will be available nationwide on November 10, 2000. Additionally, gamers who purchase No One Lives Forever at retail giant Best Buy will receive an exclusive bonus music CD featuring a re-mix of six "In the Lounge" tracks. This offer is only available to Best Buy customers and will feature a modern, contemporary version of the '60s themed music. "No One Lives Forever is more than just a great game, the 60s theme allowed us to offer a unique musical experience that gamers and music fans will both enjoy," said Karly Young, Director of Worldwide Brand Marketing for Fox Interactive. "The music search was a great way to bring new talent into the gaming world as well as offer a new medium to the artists to get their music heard."
About Red Delicious Red Delicious was formed early in the spring of 1998. This three-piece band from Pasadena, California consists of the production team of Rob King, Steven Baca and vocalist Sara Wallace. Together this trio has created a unique blend of alternative rock with hip-hop and electronic influences. Their songs are guitar-driven and sultry.
About Archie Thompson Archie Thompson is a native of San Diego. He has been performing throughout Southern California since his early teens. An accomplished saxophonist and pianist, he is also a gifted songwriter, producer and arranger. His style is deeply influenced by the surf, instrumental, jazz and pop music of the 1960's. "Each artist's track is being downloaded 7,000-20,000 times per day from the Indiespace web site," said Jeannie Novak, founder and CEO of Indiespace. "This has demonstrated that independent music is viable, appealing to a large audience. The tracks that have been selected for the CD will get even more exposure. Bundling music with interactive games could be a whole new form of music promotion for independents, and we're thrilled about the future possibilities!"
