November 3, 2005-- On November 8, Atari’s The Matrix: Path of Neo™ video game hits retailers nationwide, marking the anticipated debut of the second collaboration between Atari, the Wachowski Brothers (creators of The Matrix trilogy) and executive producer, Joel Silver. To celebrate this even, Atari has released an all new The Matrix: Path of Neo Trailer.

In May 2003, Atari released its Enter The Matrix video game which debuted at #1 and has sold nearly 6 million units worldwide to date. Now, as the follow-up to that best-selling game is The Matrix: Path of Neo™ which will be available for Xbox, PS2 and Windows.

For the first time ever in a video game, The Matrix: Path of Neo™ lets gamers experience what it is like to play as Neo on his quest to become “The One.”

Atari’s The Matrix: Path of Neo™ follows the story arc of the blockbuster film trilogy -- THE MATRIX, THE MATRIX RELOADED and THE MATRIX REVOLUTIONS -- and includes the likenesses of the films’ cast, including Keanu Reeves (Neo), Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus), Carrie-Ann Moss (Trinity), and Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith).

The Matrix: Path of Neo™ goes far beyond the ordinary movie-to-game adaptation as it is all about choice. In The Matrix: Path of Neo™, players can choose how to resolve each scenario, and the ensuing consequences may have different results than those found in the original films. Alternative scenarios abound and are filled with new characters, content and storylines – including a COMPLETELY NEW, one-of-a-kind ending to the Matrix trilogy, written and planned by the Wachowski Brothers.
