ArchLord News Updates

Codemasters has released some new information concerning their recently released MMORPG, ArchLord. Among the information is a recap of the End of Beta event, and a new rewards program for current subscribers. Read below for the latest on ArchLord.

After much anticipation ArchLord has been released unto the world. What a launch it's been as well with the BETA providing an exciting time for all involved and the live game is proving to be just as thrilling.

End of Beta Event

This was a great event that saw hundreds of players taking part in a duel to the death! As the champions entered the arena they were greeted by the sight of massive armies, there to back each competitor in this much-anticipated fight to the death. With a little organization the battle was ready to take place and those taking part all faced off against one other.

The fight raged for what seemed an eternity with champion Ziann the first to fall, followed swiftly by Evengarda, Gaiahon and Brumhart. Each were allowed three deaths before their ultimate demise. As the battle raged the guilds were scattered throughout the dungeon causing the champions to become isolated in enemy territory; they were forced to battle their way back to safe ground. The conflict continued until eventually Evengarda and Brumhart were the last remaining players. In a cruel twist of fate Evengarda was felled in a tragic AOE accident leaving Brumhart as the winner. With this victory Brumhart also found he was granted the honor of having ArchLord's first server named after him.

Guild Tournaments

It is with great pleasure that I am able to announce the first organized ArchLord Guild PvP Tournaments.

There will be three leagues made up of seven teams per guild. Each guild will play each other once with points awarded. The leagues will run in four week cycles with an off week between each 'season'. Guilds will find themselves promoted and demoted between the leagues, with the top two teams going up and the bottom two teams moving down. Those in the third league will find themselves removed from the tournament system for a season to allow other guilds that have signed up to enter into the event.

We are really looking forward to welcoming players into the tournament system and we will work hard to accommodate players of all levels. There will be prizes offered to the various leagues winners as well. For more details be sure to visit the official ArchLord website.

Fantastic Competitions

We have launched some fantastic competitions recently, as well as announcing the winners of some of our previous competitions.

We have teamed up with lifestyle magazines such as FHM and Maxim to give players the chance to win everything from a full week off work to a fantastic ArchLord branded laptop.

We are also pleased to announce that MMOART have completed the fantastic ArchLord unique PC case that will soon be winging its way to our lucky winner. For those of you that may have forgotten, our lucky winner was Dane LeBel, who provided us with the names for our servers.

Don't forget you have a buddy key in your ArchLord box that allows you to share ArchLord with a friend or family member free for seven days. Once you've got them hooked don't forget that they can upgrade online through our Codemasters E-store here! Allowing them to carry on playing without skipping a beat, they can also pick up an exciting bonus item pack for a bargain price.

Spread the wealth and bring your friends into the game, sign them up to your guild and together you can mount your campaign to dominate Chantra.

Buddy Program

Enjoying ArchLord? Then why not get your friends and family to join you in Chantra? We shall shortly be launching a buddy program in which all current subscribers will receive five buddy keys to hand out to their friends. If these keys are activated and pay for at least ones month's subscription, YOU shall receive 500 credits per key. What's more, if all five are activated you will receive an additional 1,000 credits.

So you could earn yourself 3,500 additional credits by simply getting your friends to play ArchLord with you!

But those of you that are credit thirsty don't forget that you can also gain bonus credits when you subscribe for 3, 6 or 12 months at a time.

Rewards Program

At ArchLord HQ we have decided to enter into the Christmas spirit early, and want to reward all our loyal players. As a pre-Christmas bonus on December 3rd, all players with open accounts that have been active for two months or have paid for three months up front will receive one of two fantastic in-game items.

Players will be able to choose between two items: the fantastic Ring of Constitution which grants players + 10% to their maximum health points, or the demonic Talisman of Death which gives players +10% to their attack speed. This offer will be open to all new and existing players. So get playing now and prepare yourself for the battle to become THE ArchLord.

ArchLord is also undergoing a transition as we speak! You thought you'd seen PvP? You've not seen anything till you experience PvP in ArchLord. We are making preparations to introduce a fantastic PvP league to ArchLord. This will be a really exciting chance to pit yourself against all others in extensive PvP battles. We haven't released all the details yet but you should start preparing yourself now; get an account, log-in and prepare for war!
