Tom and Jerry Tales Hits Stores Today

Beloved Cat and Mouse Duo Star in Separate Versions for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS Systems, Each Featuring Exclusive Content

The Tom and Jerry Tales videogame, published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and distributed by Eidos Interactive, hits stores today on the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance.

Developed by Sensory Sweep Studios, both versions of Tom and Jerry Tales allow gamers to play as Jerry, who must make his way through the house to survive - running through mouse holes, destroying the house through interactions with Tom and recovering the precious cheese that Tom has stolen along the way. Each version of the game features exclusive content: the Game Boy Advance version includes various mini-games to keep the chase rolling, while the Nintendo DS version includes touch-screen activated events that require players to use quick reflexes to cleverly avoid Tom and create general mayhem in the house.

Tom and Jerry Tales is inspired by the duo's first new U.S. television series in more than 13 years which debuted this fall as part of the Kids' WB! Saturday morning programming block on The CW Network. The game is rated "E for Everyone" (mild cartoon violence) for the Game Boy Advance and "E for Everyone" (comic mischief) for the Nintendo DS. Tom and Jerry Tales is available for a suggested retail price of $29.99.

Additionally, a few hints and tips are available for the game. A couple for each version are below, and you can find additional hints and tips at the Tom and Jerry Tales website: www.tomandjerrytalesgame.com.

DS version:

  • Avoid certain cheeses along the way such as the BLUE and GREEN cheese. Those slow down Jerry!
  • In breakable mode, touch the screen to throw cheese at objects such as plates and ketchup bottles to smash them up

GBA version:

  • After you beat the game, look for a surprise when you play the game again
  • Watch out for hazardous traps such as sewer sludge and mouse traps

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is throwing fans of the cartoon in to the chase themselves, when the two hilarious Tom and Jerry Tales games for the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS hit stores today, October 31.
