THE UNDEAD TAKE A BITE OUT OF THE INTERNET THIS HALLOWEEN

VAMPIRE®: THE MASQUERADE - BLOODLINES(tm) WEBSITE GOES LIVE

Santa Monica, CA - October 31, 2003 - This Halloween...before taking to the streets to prey on innocent candy-loving party-go'ers, denizens of the underworld should first check out the official Vampire®: The Masquerade - Bloodlines(tm) website from Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI) for some truly scary inspiration.  To officially inaugurate the day, fans can delve into the dark and sacred world of the vampire at www.vampirebloodlines.com.

If fans do dare to enter the Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines website, they may live to tell about their impressive stroll through the vampire-infested streets of L.A. as they browse through these following locales:

Vesuvius (Overview) - This popular vampire hangout introduces fledgling blood-suckers to the backstory of Vampire: The Masquerade -- Bloodlines, describing how they were unceremoniously sired into The World of Darkness, how there is a power struggle going on between the different vampire sects in the city, and how their existence will never be the same.

The Mansion (Features) - It is here that future vampires can check out game features such as descriptions, pictures and symbols of the different vampire clans found in the city, as well as sample the various environments they will encounter while roaming the deadly streets of L.A.

The Mausoleum (Media) - Blood-thirsty creatures of the night will frequently visit the cemetery, as it's known to be an essential feeding ground - constantly updated with fresh bodies, screenshots, blood, movies, blood, wallpapers, blood and concept art.

Confession (Links) - Confession...not the likely place to see too many vampires since their entire existence is filled with sin.  Fortunately, fanged fans can enter the confessional to seek links to: Troika Games - the developer of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines; White Wolf Publishing - Creator of the renowned RPG series Vampire: The Masquerade; Valve Software - Developer of Valve's Source(tm) Technology; as well as links to the different vampire related fansites and forums.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines combines classic White Wolf role-playing with intense first-person action combat, as players assume the role of a recently embraced creature of the night just beginning their foray into the gritty underworld of modern day L.A.  The journey into darkness starts as gamers join one of seven different vampire clans - each clan offering a distinctive set of skills and traits including: supernatural speed, stealth, invisibility, mind control, inhuman strength, combat, and stamina, each of which will be further refined as players progress through the game.

In addition to vampire skills and powers, gamers will be able to call upon a devastating arsenal of weapons including stake guns, shotguns, flamethrowers, submachine guns and sniper rifles, to name a few.  Once players arm themselves to the teeth they will be ready to tackle the host of human vampire hunters, ghouls, werewolves, and enemy vampires that inhabit the City of Angels after nightfall.  Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is expected to ship in 2004 and has not yet been rated by the ESRB.
