Freeverse Software Releases 3D Card Games Deluxe Trial for Windows, Announces Retail Versions

Best-of-Breed Spades, Hearts, Setback, and Euchre now available for Windows card players.

New York - October 31, 2002 - Freeverse Software, the premier maker of card software today released trialware versions of its award-winning 3D Card Games Deluxe software titles for Windows operating systems. The release makes versions of 3D Spades Deluxe, 3D Hearts Deluxe, 3D Euchre Deluxe, and 3D Pitch (aka Setback) Deluxe available to users of Windows for the first time.

3D Cards Deluxe features a 3D card table interface, complete with animated and photorealistic characters to play against. Each of the games supports built-in Internet play with the GameSmith opponent matching service, unlike other best-selling games that punt to a web browser and a java applet for online play.

"We're extremely proud of the unparalleled user experience our 3D card games provide for card gamers everywhere," said Freeverse Software Ian Lynch Smith. "We are confident that new users of 3D cards will be 'switchers' from clunkier card games, like Hoyle."

Each of the games also supports PicturePuppets, a drag-and-drop interface for creating online avatars, so your opponents can see you as you play. Each puppet has built-in emotive animations and sound, for the most realistic card game experience available on computers today.

The 3D Card Games Deluxe titles support most popular rule variations in play around card tables today. The games are available as downloadable Trialware, so users can try the software before purchasing. The boxed versions of the games will be available at popular retailers throughout North America this holiday season.

The games are pending a rating from ESRB, but are expected to bear a rating of E for everyone.

The latest release of the games are available for download at freeverse.com.  Each of the 3D Cards Deulxe games is priced at $19.95.
