Montreal, Quebec. October 29, 2002 – Co-publishers Monte Cristo and Strategy First along with developers Digital Reality have released 10 new screens from their highly anticipated game Platoon. In the coming weeks prepare for the release of a brand new trailer and a demo!
Platoon was a hugely popular war film that hit the big screen in 1986 and won numerous awards in 1987, including the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture–Drama and Best Director (Oliver Stone), and rounded out the year with the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director. The film, which was made for roughly $6 million, grossed over $130 million by the end of its successful run and had people all over the world clamoring for another view of the historical Vietnam War.
Platoon will be released on November 19th and will be exclusively distributed by Infogrames in North America.
