EARTH & BEYOND FOUNDERS' FEDERATION TO CLOSE OCT. 31

Only a few days left for beta testers to claim their characters

LAS VEGAS, NV (Oct. 28, 2002) - Westwood Studios(tm) announced today that the Founders' Federation for Earth & Beyond(tm) will close Oct. 31.  The Founder's program rewards beta testers by letting them carry their beta characters into the retail version of the game. 

Earth & Beyond is an online role-playing galaxy that is published by Electronic Arts(tm) (NASDAQ:ERTS) under the EA GAMES(tm) brand. 

Earth & Beyond testers who wish to transfer their characters into the final game need to purchase and register the retail version of the game by Oct. 31. After that day, beta characters will be wiped from game servers.

Earth and Beyond is one of the best reviewed new games of the year winning many editors' awards, buy recommendations, and positive reviews from respected trade and mainstream publications like Entertainment Weekly and the New York Times.

In Earth & Beyond, players become captains of their own starships and live futuristic galactic adventures in an evolving, online galaxy.  Every month Westwood will update the game world with new content and features.  October additions include Halloween-themed in-game events, new quests, enemies, grouping features and an enhanced guild management system.
