ULTIMA ONLINE: SAMURAI EMPIRE WEB SITE IS LIVE
First in Series of Promotional Videos also Available for Download
Electronic Arts announced that the official Ultima Online: Samurai Empire web site is now live at www.uo.com/uose. In addition, the company launched the first in a series of five “making of” videos created to promote the game. The development team decided to do something unexpected with the videos so they produced several humorous “mockumentary” style segments that make fun at the typical “making of” videos.
The video clips are one to two minutes in length and star the actual members of the UOSE development team. One video will be released each week until the game ships early next month. The first video is available to view now at the new UOSE web site (www.uo.com/uose).
Additionally, EA’s pre-sell promotion is still running. Consumers who pre-order the game will receive a Soulstone, an amazing in-game device that will give them the power to store or move skill points from one character to another. A Soulstone offers a great deal of flexibility in managing characters’ abilities without losing the skill points players worked so hard to earn. In addition to the EA Store, players can pre-order the game online from Electronics Boutique, Gamestop and Amazon.com. More information on the Soulstone can be found at www.uo.com/soulstone.
The highly-anticipated expansion pack for Ultima Online is on schedule to release on November 2, 2004.
