GarageGames announced today the winners of Indie Games Con ’03 (IGC) Players
Choice Awards sponsored by nVIDIA.
21-6 Productions returned to take 1st Place Overall for the second year in a row with their new game GravRally. 21-6's first racing title also edged out Dark Horizons: Lore from Max Gaming Technologies to win Best in Category for Multiplayer. A tie-breaker with Lore decided the Best in Category for Game Art which was awarded to Fuzee Teevee by Gastronaut Studios.
Bit Shifter from Plastic Games was a resounding winner of Best in Category for Single Player and received praise throughout the conference. Bit Shifter was the "Most innovative game at IGC", said Anthony Rosenbaum, Lead Programmer for Max Gaming, "What can I say but wow!" raved Robert Brim and "A tip of the hat to classics from a bygone era," commented Nicolas Quijano.
