Jak X: Combat Racing Shifts Gears, Pulling Into Stores Near You!

Check out the new features in the fourth installment of the popular Jak and Daxter franchise:

• Besides a great single-player experience, Jak X introduces both multiplayer and online modes to the Jak and Daxter franchise. The online mode allows six players to compete in head-to-head action or two individuals can play against each other in split-screen mode.
• Players will be tasked with a variety of missions spanning across various play modes including Time Trial and Deathmatch.
• Players can create their own strategies for races and missions with an assortment of vehicle power ups, including projectile weapons, ranged weapons, smart bombs, mines, catastrophic attacks, turbos, shields and repair.
• Vehicles are fully customizable and feature unique and lively handling characteristics through the utilization of Advanced Rigid Body Physics technology.
• The Jak X: Combat Racing soundtrack features two licensed songs from Queen of the Stone Age, as well as original content from Billy Howerdel.
• Jak X: Combat Racing is also compatible with Daxter for the PSP™ (PlayStation® Portable), releasing this spring and developed by Ready at Dawn. By connecting a USB cable from the PSP system to the PlayStation 2, players will be able to unlock new characters introduced in Daxter as drivers in Jak X: Combat Racing as well as a special vehicle in Daxter.
