Playlogic signs Distribution Agreement with Atari Nordic. Obscure II amongst the titles to be distributed

Playlogic Entertainment, Inc. announces that it has signed a distribution agreement with Atari Nordic for three PC, PSP and PS2 games: Obscure II (PS2 & PC), Xyanide Resurrection (PS2 & PSP) and Evil Days of Luckless John (PC). All titles are set for a mid to end October 2007 release.

Pierre Thiercelin, International Sales Director of Playlogic: “I am very pleased with this agreement. It is important for Playlogic to keep increasing its presence in the Nordic markets and we look forward to a fruitful partnership with Atari Nordic.“

Jeremy Wigmore, Managing Director of Atari Nordic: “Atari Nordic believes that Playlogic has recognised the qualities we bring as a distribution partner and we in return are very happy to help them increase their presence in the Nordic market with their varied line up.”

Obscure II is the follow up to 2005’s Obscure. Survivors of the first adventure set at high school have now moved on to college. But soon they find themselves faced with yet other terrifying threat on the campus of Fallcreek University. Obscure II features an optimized cooperative play-mode, which allows a friend to enter into the game. Players can choose between 6 different characters, each with unique skills.

Obscure II provides a gripping survival horror experience, set in a "teen horror movie" environment. The soundtrack, performed by the Boston Chamber Quartet and the Paris Opera's Children's Choir add to the atmosphere of Obscure II.

Xyanide Resurrection is a Shoot’em Up that offers a classic experience in a 3-D environment, displayed in 15 spectacular levels. Players take on the role of executioner Drake, whose task it is to find and capture the escaped witch Aguira. She uses the mythical power of Xyanide to create new worlds and nightmarish creatures in an attempt to kill her pursuer.

Xyanide Resurrection uses a technology never seen before on the PSP and PS2 – high quality interactive video backdrops, seamlessly integrated with the real-time game scenery to deliver breathtaking graphics and effects. Xyanide Resurrection was created by Playlogics in house development studio, the Playlogic Game Factory.

Evil Days Of Luckless John tells the tale of poor unlucky John. In this humorous adventure game players help him to claim a profitable casino as an inheritance which was left to him by his distant uncle. Unfortunately the Mafia also has its eyes on the casino as well.

The dozens of characters with which players can interact, combined with a lot of humor and simple user interface make Evil Days of Luckless John a great enjoyable to a broad range of gamers.
