New "Iron Phoenix" Screenshots Forged in the Fires of Sammy Studios
Sammy Studios today released five new screenshots from its upcoming Xbox Live enabled fighting game, "Iron Phoenix." The first ever 16-player online fighting game, "Iron Phoenix" brings an all-new experience to Xbox with an original weapons-based fighting game that lets players engage in deadly team-based melee battles in massive environments. The game is planned for release in February 2005 and is not yet rated.
Centuries ago, a massive meteor descended from the heavens and crashed into an unknown region of the Far East. Sensing the incredibly destructive power of the astral fragment, a blacksmith forged nine weapons from the meteor's core, christening his new armaments as weapons of the "Iron Phoenix." As word of the legendary arsenal spread, vicious conflict erupted among warriors engaged in battle to lay claim to the ferocious weaponry. Now a final group of combatants has gathered to master the "Iron Phoenix" weapons and seize their place among the greatest fighters in history.
"Iron Phoenix" delivers a groundbreaking game play experience on Xbox Live with 16-player team combat. The game boasts a deep weapons-based fighting system in which each weapon's distinctive fighting style dictates a player's arsenal of moves, combos, and attacks. "Iron Phoenix" also further enriches the online play experience with full support of the Xbox Live 3.0 feature set, allowing players to join clans, send voice and video messages and organize their own tournaments. The new screenshots highlight the game's detailed character models, authentic Chinese weaponry and gravity defying fighting styles.
