GameSpy.net in September: Seven Games Ship with GameSpy Tech

Developers and Publishers Save Time and Sell More Games with GameSpy.Net

GameSpy Industries is happy to announce that two gaming titles shipped in September with GameSpy.net technology powering their multiplayer experience and backend systems, while five others shipped with copies of GameSpy Arcade, providing an out-of-the-box multiplayer community.

GameSpy's technology division, GameSpy.net (www.gamespy.net), offers developers and publishers a suite of game development solutions and backend systems, providing features such as CD-key validation, auto-patching, in-game server browsing and much more. The end result is more profitable games developed in less time with less resources.

The following titles, all featuring GameSpy.net technology, shipped in September:

· Rails Across America, from Strategy First / Flying Lab Software (CD Key Authentication Toolkit)

· Zax: Alien Hunter, from JoWooD / Reflexive Entertainment (In-game Server Browsing Toolkit)

Seven other titles shipped with GameSpy Arcade, GameSpy's industry-leading online gaming environment. Players of these games could launch GameSpy Arcade and immediately enter multiplayer games, and take advantage of Arcade's other features, such as voice and text chat, demo downloads and instant-messaging services.

The games were:

· Real War, from Simon & Schuster / Semi Logic Entertainment & Rival Interactive

· Pool of Radiance II, from UbiSoft / Stormfront Studios

· Monopoly Tycoon, from Infogrames / Deep Red Games

· Commandos 2, from Eidos Interactive / Pyro Studios

· Far Gate, from Microids / Super X Studios (US release)

Many more titles featuring GameSpy technology are expected to ship in Q4 of this year. The GameSpy.net Toolkits offer a full package of cross-platform game development solutions, allowing developers to focus on building cooler, more profitable games in less time.
