Saints Row Gets the Cornerstone Treatment Leading Lifestyle Marketing Agency's Newly Formed Music Supervision Department Scores Highly Anticipated Title
When looking to add the music score to its upcoming title "Saints Row(TM)" videogame company THQ turned to leading lifestyle marketing company Cornerstone. Recognized industry-wide for its boundless knowledge music across multiple genres and ability to match brands with music, Cornerstone paired various options of tracks together that transform the experience of "Saints Row" each time it is played.
The highly anticipated title required key musical selections to enhance game play and appeal to a variety of gamers' musical tastes. For the project, Cornerstone licensed songs from bands including Jane's Addiction, Mudhoney, Fall Out Boy, Great White, Husker Du and lined up original tracks from Ghostface Killah, Rhymefest, Daz Dillenger, Ratt, Strong Arm Steady featuring Xzibit and David Banner. The final result is a vast soundtrack with 210 songs across a variety of genres, including reggae, hip-hop, hair metal, classic alternative and indie.
Cornerstone's newly created music supervision department has also handled projects for Nike and Apple.
