One More Dominions II: The Ascensions War Patch!
Short But Sweet Version 2.14 Patch Kills Bugs Dead!

Hot on the heels of the recent version 2.13 patch for Dominions II: The Ascension Wars comes the version 2.14 patch. This is a small patch meant to take care of several lingering bugs. Originally Illwinter Game Design had hoped to include these fixes with the last patch but unfortunately the patch ended up being split into two separate patches.

http://www.shrapnelgames.com/Illwinter/d2/6.htm, or at GameZone here - http://downloads.gamezone.com/demos/d11563.htm which is fully compatible with versions 2.12 and 2.13 of the game, with the caveat that all players participating in a current multiplayer session should ensure that they are all running the same version of Dominions II: The Ascension Wars. While possible to play against other versions there is always the risk that anomalies can crop up, so why take the chance? Downloading only takes a moment and your game will be all the better for it.Version 2.14 corrects the following issues:
* Network lock up bug fixed.
* The graphics corruption that could sometimes occur when ALT-TABbing (both in Windows and OS X) has been fixed.
* Magic duel is now working correctly.
* Some magic items could be used twice on a commander, for twice the effect! Fixed.
* Removing item unique ritual orders would make Dominions II crash and burn. No more. Likewise, casting item unique rituals with cheat detection on would play havoc with the game, this has been fixed.
* Dispel would not always dispel enchantments. Fixed.
* When besieging an enemy castle a player could sometimes instantly transport magical items to their lab. Not anymore.
Dominions II: The Ascension Wars is the much lauded game of epic fantasy turn-based strategy available for all the major operating systems. The game's developer, Illwinter Game Design of Sweden, is very active in the Dominions II community, and these patches are a direct result of community input, along with the developer's own desire to continually strive for the perfect computer game.
