Set Your Sights on Namco’s New "Sniper Elite(TM)" Screens

Namco Hometek Inc. has released new screen shots for its upcoming World War II sniper simulation, "Sniper Elite(TM)." Using authentic sniping physics, players must guide an elite American sniper through war-torn Berlin in hopes of keeping German nuclear secrets from falling into the hands of Stalin’s Red Army. Scheduled for release this September, "Sniper Elite" will be available for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, Xbox(R) video game system and PC.

Stealth, strategy, discipline and a steady aim are the skills needed to maintain the global balance of power in Namco’s latest military action title. "Sniper Elite" allows players to freely explore Berlin as they control an OSS-trained American sniper inserted deep behind enemy lines. Precision sniping mechanics such as gravity, elevation, wind speed, heart rate and other variables help players accurately dispose of enemies from the German Army and the advancing Soviet threat. Utilizing the first and third person views, players must actively seek out perfect sniping locations by destroying strategic obstacles as they work their way through 28 challenging missions. Whether running through the game’s engrossing single-player or co-op offline modes, or engaging players worldwide through intense multiplayer sniper battles, "Sniper Elite" offers a shooter gameplay experience unlike any other.
