Space Colony Demo Available for Out-of ­This-World-Play on Gigex.com


Austin, TX, September 4, 2003 -- Computer and video game publisher Gathering and game developer Firefly Studios announced today the launch of the much-anticipated Space Colony demo on Gigex.com.

Available for download and play at www.gigex.com,  Space Colony invites PC pioneers to establish and build cosmic settlements and manage a dysfunctional crew of 20 characters while fighting off alien attacks and attempting to make a profit.  There are 24 immersive missions ­ each twist of the plot has its own goal, Rescue, DNA extraction, EradicateTourism, heck even space chickens have their part to play up there!

The Space Colony demo allows players to play through three missions and meet six of the 20 wacky space cadets.  The Space Colony demo will also be available on CD at GameStop and Electronic Boutique stores nationwide starting in September.

Space Colony is being developed by Firefly Studios, the creators of the highly popular Stronghold series.  Space Colony will be landing on store shelves everywhere this October.
