Interplay Signs Industrial Rock Band "COMA" to Provide Music for the Action/Horror Xbox Title, Hunter: The Reckoning!
Digital Mayhem, a division of Interplay Entertainment Corp., has signed a deal with the industrial rock band COMA to use their song, "Numb" for Digital Mayhem's highly anticipated action/horror Xbox game, Hunter: The Reckoning. COMA, originally from Des Moines, Iowa was formed in 1999 in Los Angeles, California. Early influences for COMA's unique sound include such bands as Black Sabbath and Ministry. "I saw a demo of Hunter: The Reckoning at E3 2001 and immediately knew I had to be a part of it. Hunter was so intense, I started talking to the producer at Interplay about a deal 2 seconds after seeing the game," said Brian Vance, lead singer and guitarist for COMA. Currently, COMA has just finished shooting a video called "New High" and will be in the editing and post-production process for the next few weeks, and will then be back in the studio working on new material for their music CD release scheduled for March, 2002.
