MYSTERIOUS CONSTRUCTION causes galactic concern
Earth & Beyond’s August update: V’rix begin construction on massive device, new cruiser-sized V’rix ships spotted, new epic quest shrouded in mystery and danger
REDWOOD CITY, CA (August 26, 2003) – Today’s update of Earth & Beyond features two mysteries with galaxy-wide implications.
In the sector of Akeron’s Gate, one of the busiest thoroughfares in the galaxy, the invading V’rix started construction on a massive structure, its purpose unknown. Rumors of its purpose are spreading at lightspeed.
Is it a weapon, some kind of communications array or a transportation device? All of humanity wants the answer, and many are ready to fight to get it.
Starship captains traveling to Akeron’s Gate to see the structure for themselves should come prepared for battle. Huge cruiser-sized V’rix ships have been spotted there, and seem to be extremely hostile. The good news is that these new ships drop never-before-seen weapons and components when destroyed.
The second mystery that has the galaxy abuzz concerns a V’rix pilot in the newly discovered Aquitaine sector offering a reward for DNA samples of certain prominent humans. Thus far, no pilot has accepted this strange offer, but some V’rix sympathizer is likely to take the chance soon.
