ACCLAIM ENTERTAINMENT, INC. KICKS OFF INTEGRATED MARKETING CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT LAUNCH OF 'NFL QB CLUB 2002'
Print and Television Advertising, Sponsorships, Sweepstakes and Retail Promotions Drive August Release of PlayStation®2 Computer Entertainment System Title

preseason football just underway, Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ.SC: AKLM)
today announced that it has officially kicked-off its integrated marketing
campaign to support the late August release of NFL QB Club 2002 for the
PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system. Acclaim will support the launch of
the title with national print and television advertising, sponsorships, consumer
sweepstakes and retail promotions. Expected to be available at retail outlets
nationwide on Friday, September 7, 2001, NFL QB Club 2002 is the latest offering
from the Company's successful gridiron franchise and is the only game to include
the exclusive "Quarterback Challenge" mode, which allows players to compete in
the real events that the NFL's top quarterbacks do each year in Hawaii.
