Sammy Studios Launches Web Site
Dedicated to Explosive Jet Combat Game Lethal Skies II
Movies, Screens and Interactive Hangar Reveal Jets, Weapons and the Story
Driving the Sony PlayStation2 Action Game
Carlsbad, CA – August 6,
2003 — Sammy Studios, Inc., a developer, publisher and global distributor of
interactive entertainment content, today announced the launch of
www.lethalskies.com, the new web site for
Lethal Skies II. Scheduled for release exclusively for Sony
PlayStation® 2 on September 9, 2003, Lethal Skies II is a
fast-paced, arcade-style flight shooter and the latest in the popular Lethal
Skies jet combat series. The game’s dedicated web site highlights the
game’s amazing graphics, breakneck action and unique sci-fi flavored premise
through downloadable media and interactive features. Visitors get access to a
wide selection of screenshots, movies and artwork and can enter a hangar that
shows off the game’s variety of vehicles, missions and environments. The site
also provides links to what leading video game press outlets are saying about
the game, and lets those eager to jump into the cockpit pre-order the title. Lethal
Skies II is rated T for Teen and has an MSRP of $39.99.
“Lethal Skies II should be on the radar of any PS2 gamer looking for a
white-knuckle single and two-player jet combat game,” said Tim Pivnicny, Senior
VP Sales & Marketing for Sammy Studios. “High-flying action, epic story and a
great variety of modern and futuristic fighter jets and enemy war machines make
this a must-own for fans of arcade-style combat.”
Lethal Skies II is set on a future Earth devastated by
environmental disaster, and now coping with wars among remaining nations. The
web site immerses visitors into the compelling universe of men and machines
propelling the action in this game. Screenshots, movies and a
mission-by-mission debriefing reveal the game’s depth and variety, and a fully
interactive hangar and armaments section displays the game’s arsenal of jet
fighters and weapons. Here, visitors can access images, specs and capabilities
for a selection of fighter jets that includes modern and super-advanced planes,
with future site updates unveiling the experimental “black ops” planes found in
the game. Lethal Skies II adds a whopping seven new jets for a
total of 19 playable planes and has players fighting through more than 20
missions, taking on conventional enemy weapons and futuristic war machines.
Players can even unlock bonus campaigns where they can reverse roles and take
over the enemy. The title also boasts a big feature payload, with split-screen
and i.Link 2-player mode, movie galleries, five 1st and 3rd person POVs,
customizable background music and the ability to command wingmen. Once
Lethal Skies II releases, www.lethalskies.com
will become the destination for players looking for hints and strategies on
unlocking the many bonus features found in the game.
