Oteeva to Publish Auran’s “Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004” for PC
PC Title Slated for Release in October
Dallas, Texas – August 5, 2003 -- Oteeva announced today that it has entered into a publishing agreement with Australia-based Auran to publish Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004 in the North American market.
“We are very excited to bring Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004 to North America,” said Shannon Jones, Oteeva’s Vice President of Operations.
“The level of detail and features that Auran has put into this product make it far and away the best railroad simulation available on the market,” said Robert Westmoreland, Oteeva’s Director of Business Development.
Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004 is about a lot more than driving trains -- it is a total railroad experience. TRS2004 lets players operate their choice of Union Pacific and other locos, from the early days of steam through to modern high-speed electrics, under a variety of challenging conditions in real world scenarios. In addition, players coordinate the movement of passengers and freight as their busy industrial world springs to life. Utilizing the user-friendly world builder, players can also create their own realistic environments, sculpt mountains and valleys, place scenery objects, lay track, and connect a variety of trackside industries and towns.
“Trainz Railroad Simulator 2004 is the culmination of more than 3 years of development and incorporates a huge amount of feedback from our enthusiastic fan base,” said Greg Lane, Auran’s CEO. “This edition really adds a whole new dimension to the user experience with the introduction of controllable drivers and interactive industries. Users can customize their own railroad experience in minutes and spend hours in the roles of Engineer, Yardmaster, or Operation Manager as they keep the wheels of industry turning.”
TRS2004 is due for release in major retailers throughout North America in October 2003 and will retail for $39.99.
