The company Step CG is a successor to Step, established in 1994 and known for the release of the cult quest game Star Inheritance and for publishing the e-magazine Spectrofon¦ for the ZX Spectrum platform. At the end of the year 2004 Step CG released a tactical-logical arcade game with the 3rd-person view ⌠Deactivation¦. Currently Step CG is working on two projects.

One of them is the PC reincarnation of the Spectrum hit under the name Star Heritage-1: The Black Cobra. The protagonist is an agent of the Central Union of the Human Colonies, helping Mankind in its struggle against the oppressing Artang race. Under the guise of a common space merchant he smuggled the weapons onto the weakly-protected planets √ until the Artangs intercepted his ship. As fate would have it, he came out alive √ but marooned on an unknown planet, unregistered in space catalogues. Now he has to leave this trap and continue his mission. However, the way home is long and hard. The protagonists journey becomes a sequence of surprising finds and discoveries, which unexpectedly reveal to him the most treasured mysteries of the Universe. This new-found knowledge may yet play a key role in the struggle against the Artangs. The game will have nonlinear plot, more than 200 game screens with captivating 1024x768 photorealistic graphics, first-person view, change of weather conditions and time of day, specially designed battle system, and 3D sound.

The second project is a quest game for younger gamers Alices Journey based on the Kir Bulychevs novella of the same title. The gamers will enjoy detective plot filled with light humor, more than 30 game screens, about 15 animated and scripted sequences, and easy-to-use controls.
