Final Fantasy XI Client is Patched

Issues addressed in MMO title

A patch to the Final Fantasy XI massively multiplayer online title addresses several areas. The patch will automatically load when players launch the client. According to information on the official Web site of the title, the patch will address the following areas:

• A message displaying the number of limit points earned now appears after each battle.

Example:

Limit Chain!
Destiny gains 100 limit points. (Total: 512/10000)

- "Total" indicates a player's current number of limit points.
- The number of limit chains is not displayed.
- When a player has reached 10,000 limit points after obtaining the maximum number of merit points, the message above will no longer appear.

New varieties of orb battles have been implemented.

The battles that require a Themis orb are as follows:

Battle Name: Horns of War
Level Restriction: None
Time Limit: 30 minutes
Member Restriction: 18

Area: Waughroon Shrine
Battle Name: The Hills are Alive
Level Restriction: None
Time Limit: 30 minutes
Member Restriction: 18

Area: Balga's Dais
Battle Name: Early Bird Catches the Wyrm
Level Restriction: None
Time Limit: 30 minutes
Member Restriction: 18

Other issues addressed include:

• An issue regarding the erroneous display of the play time has been addressed.

• An issue where magic detecting monsters would attack players who had not used magic has been addressed.

• An issue where the monsters that players need to defeat in order to complete certain garrison quests do not appear has been fixed.
