New York – Friday, July 26, 2002
– Renowned for its high speed and aggressive action, Codemasters’ Pro Race
Driver provides some of gaming’s most spectacular racing collisions to date.
As Pro Race Driver comes to PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system,

The game’s proprietary Finite Element Modeling (FEM) damage engine accurately
simulates the deformation of a car’s structure over the duration of an impact,
calculating how both the internal structure and outer bodywork of the cars
react. This physics based approach gives unparalleled realism with different
results every time depending on the exact conditions of the collision.
