Guild Wars Factions Fun Ladder Event Announced

Go for the gold (cape trim, that is)

With the completion of last weekend’s Guild Wars Factions World Championship Open Event comes the announcement of the Guild Wars Factions Fun Ladder Event. Starting at 8:00 GMT July 21 and running until 8:00GMT August 21, the tournament ladder will reset and the Fun Ladder Event will begin. The “fun” ladder will allow the championship qualifiers to practice before the big competition, as well as give the opportunity for guilds who didn’t qualify to win some cool prizes for themselves!

1st Place – Permanent Gold cape trim, signed copies of Guild Wars Prophecies and Guild Wars Factions, 8 complete sets of skill pins

2nd Place – Silver cape trim, 8 complete sets of skill pins

3rd – 16th Place – Silver cape trim

The Guild Wars Factions World Championship will take August 24 – 28, 2006. The top eight qualifying guilds from around the world have secured themselves trips to Leipzig, Germany, where they will compete for more than $100,000.00 in cash and prizes.

*Signed copies of Guild Wars and complete sets of skill pins will be mailed to the 8 players designated by the Guild Leader

And of course while you’re playing this weekend you will also be racking up double faction in arenas! That means twice the faction for unique kills, matches won and flawless victories!
