EA to Debut Club Pogo for Elite Online Players
Subscription Service Features Big Prizes and Exclusive Games
REDWOOD CITY, CA -- 07/09/2003 -- Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today announced plans for Club Pogo™, a subscription service for players who love online games. Club Pogo debuts later this month with several new games offered exclusive to members and a variety of VIP services designed to enhance the game play and community experience. After a 14-day free trial, subscribers will pay $4.99 per month or $29.99 for an entire year.
“Every day, roughly three million people log onto Pogo.com and spend an average of one hour playing our games,” said EA Online Vice President Lesley Mansford. “Club Pogo is a service that will appeal to dedicated players who want even more of what they love on the Pogo.com site.”
Club Pogo offers a variety of VIP features:
Exclusive Games: In addition to more than 50 games available on Pogo.com™, the Club Pogo service will offer members-only games with better graphics, sound and player features. Members will also receive sneak preview of all new Pogo games.

No Interruptions: Club Pogo eliminates intermissions, pop-ups and advertising interruptions.
Quicker Access: After a one-time download, Club Pogo members access new games with no additional downloads.

When Club Pogo launches later this month, subscribers will have exclusive access to five new games:
