NESQUIK, GAMERIOT and CPL host $10,000 Halo 2 tourney in Dallas

World’s Largest Traveling Video Game Festival to Hold Special Competition July 6th–9th at CPL’s Summer Event

(New York) – June 29, 2005 – Games Media Properties, a leading creator of video game entertainment and media, announced today that they have teamed with the Cyberathlete Professional League® for a special $10,000 Halo2 tournament that will allow competitors to “Play Hard. Go Pro.™”  The tournament can be viewed by the public, and will take place at the Cyberathlete® Extreme Summer Championships 2005 in Grapevine, Texas from July 6th-9th.  Sixteen teams will compete four-on-four in a double-elimination format for their piece of the $10,000 prize purse. The top five teams will all win cash prizes, with the $3,000 grand prize for first place, $2,500 for second, $2,000 for third, $1,500 for fourth and $1,000 for fifth. All teams and visitors will also be able to play Xbox Live over SBC Broadband, and enjoy free NESTLE® Nesquik samples.

The world’s largest traveling video game festival and competition, Nesquik GameRiot offers gamers a chance to play new and unreleased video game titles. With NESTLÉ® Nesquik® as the Title Sponsor, and MTV2 and Xbox as Presenting Sponsors, this year’s tour will reach more than 350,000 gamers at 85 events in 30 markets.

The Nesquik GameRiot tour also features top-ranked professional gamer Matthew “Zyos” Leto, as well as a 2k Sports and MySpace.com “Battle of the Bands” competition for local musicians.
