Digital Jesters at i20
Multiplay's i20 has been and gone, with Digital Jesters there along for the ride, showing the LAN attendees what the Britsoft publisher is releasing in the coming months, giving them a chance to try out the new games and win some prizes.
Multiplay's i20 event was held at the Newbury Racecourse from June 25th to June 27th 2004 with an attendence of about 600 people. Digital Jesters was there showing three games in playable form for the attends to give a try. The main attraction of i20 being Chaos League, the new sports RTS due for release on the 6th of August 2004. The LANers were given the multiplayer and singleplayer demos to give a try and to download, followed by tournaments to find the true Chaos League player. The tournaments featuring a 1v1 match with the winner winning a copy of Chaos League on release day as well as 3v3 matches with the victorious team of 3 taking on our very own DJ | T-Monk in 3v1 Chaos League match.
As well as Chaos League, the other games shown in playable form were the new RTS from the creators of Desert Rats vs. Afrika Korps, D-Day and the new TrackMania. Tournaments were run for the games, with plently of people crowding round ready to cheer on their friends to win, with screams of "Touchdown" for Chaos League.
A new 'Digital Jesters @ i20' gallery has been uploaded complete with pictures from the i20 event, with the winners of the Chaos League tournaments and people playing on the differnet DJ games.
Digital Jesters will be at the next Multiplay i-event 'i21' on the 27th to the 30th of August 2004. Information for Multiplay's i21 can be found at Multiplay's website.
