Jackie Chan Adventures
SCEE announced today the Autumn launch of Jackie Chan Adventures exclusively for PlayStation®2. Developed by Atomic Planet Entertainment (APE) Limited, Jackie Chan Adventures is the only official game for home consoles based on the popular action cartoon series of the same name.
Jackie Chan Adventures features the martial arts hero scouring the globe as an ancient artefact expert looking for talismans with his 11-year old niece Jade as his apprentice. Each talisman unlocks additional powers for Jackie, allowing him to access new areas within the worlds. Jackie must also play his part in protecting the world from ancient Chinese demons, and a group of ninjas known as the Dark Hand.
Jackie Chan Adventures features stunning cartoon graphics that faithfully recreate the look and feel of the television series. The adventure takes place across many huge levels that take Jackie and Jade around the globe - and even to the Moon! The game also includes a series of crazy EyeToy® mini games dotted throughout the levels to truly immerse EyeToy owners in the world of Jackie Chan Adventures.
"The Jackie Chan Adventures cartoon series lends itself perfectly to be adapted to a videogame and we are thrilled to have been given the opportunity to produce it," said Jason Falcus, Operation Director, Atomic Planet. "Our team has worked very hard to create a great game that is true to the show in both look and feel, and I am confident it will appeal to fans of the series and fans of action-adventure games alike."
Jackie Chan Adventures will be available on PlayStation 2 in September.
