This week, Lineage presents a chance for players to try out their skills in the highest level quest ever offered in the game. For the first time, players can test their mettle in a quest that takes them on an adventure, culminating in a battle against the evil creature Varlok, who threatens to bring the world to ruin. Varlok’s Quest can only be accomplished in a group that includes characters from each of the game’s four classes, and each player in the party must be at least level 50.

This difficult trial requires a group effort, individual skill and a creative strategy in order to conquer Varlok. It is by far the most complex quest in the game. The payoff is a unique item that is class specific: a Death Blade for Knights, a Bow of Flames or Sword of Flames for Elves, a Gold Scepter for Princes and Princesses and a Mana Crystal Ball for Mages.

NCsoft is introducing other features to Lineage this week including the crafting of fruit juices that rejuvenate a player’s health and new wedding rings, which will expand play options for couples in the game.
