Two Different Adventures Combined into One Historical PC Game

Toronto, Canada (June XX, 2001), DreamCatcher, a fast-growing publisher of PC and console entertainment software, brings two historic adventures together in Arthur¹s Knights ­ Tales of Chivalry. In this visually stunning, third-person-perspective, 3D real-time adventure game, the player steps into the boots of Bradwen (the illegitimate son of an English lord), who has been banished from his kingdom and kept from his inheritance by his half-brother, Morganor. In Arthur¹s Knights, adventurers from all skill sets will need to employ their best quest skills to explore unusual places and fight mythical beings in order to earn Bradwen a seat at the legendary Round Table. Only then will Bradwen claim his birthright and recover the land that rightly belonged to him.

Choices matter in this game. The player can choose which path he wants to take ­ a Celtic or Christian path. The player¹s gameplay and helpers will depend on the path chosen. For example, if the player chooses the ancient path of the Celtics, they will ally with Merlin the Enchanter and a world of Faeries. If they choose a Christian path, Lancelot and Bishop Novelius will come to their aid.

Arthur¹s Knights employs the Cryogen engine, which gives the characters free-flowing movement, allowing the character to walk in any direction instead of pointing and clicking the characters movement. In addition, all of the characters are rendered in real-time 3D and are set in breathtaking pre-rendered and painted landscapes of dark forests and

British ruins, lending plenty of eerie atmosphere to this ancient mythological tale. Plus, with an encyclopedia of Celtic Legends included in the game, the player can also learn about this time in history.

Storyline

It¹s the seventh century in war-ridden England, where Christianity and Celtic traditions fight over the ruins of the Roman Empire. Upon his father¹s death, Bradwen, the illegitimate son of an English lord, was kicked off his land and dispossessed of his birthright by his half-brother, Morganor. To claim his birthright back, Bradwen must fight his way through all sorts of challenges to prove himself worthy of the rank of Knight of the Round Table, only then can justice be served. But which way will justice come ­ the Celtic or Christian way?
