TECMO’S DEAD OR ALIVE XTREME BEACH VOLLEYBALL STEALS THE SHOW AT E3
LOS ANGELES, Calif., June 17, 2002 - After getting the loudest cheer at the Xbox™ press conference held on May 20 in Los Angeles, Tecmo’s new ‘fantasy sports’ game, Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball became one of the most talked about games at E3, 2002.
DOAXBV showcases some of the most advanced game-making technology available today. The beautiful girls from the million-selling Xbox video game system title from Tecmo, Dead or Alive 3, will take a break from the ring and hit the courts this summer as they show off their athletic skills and more by playing beach volleyball.
"Based on the overwhelming number of press inquiries and questions from consumers that the Tecmo offices have received since we premiered DOAXBV at E3, we feel very confident that we’re on to something potentially huge", said John Inada, Director of Sales and Marketing for Tecmo.
"Numerous articles written on DOAXBV list some of the game concepts that we shared in our previous DOAXBV press release. We wanted to make clear that some of the game features shared in the previous press release were simply rough concepts that are being contemplated but not finalized," Inada said. "Editors and consumers can anticipate some substantial changes in the final version of DOAXBV from the already announced features and concepts. The best is yet to come for this game in terms of details and features. Tecmo is hard at work to make this the breakout title of 2002. DOAXBV on Xbox will absolutely blow people away."
Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball is scheduled for release at the end of the summer, exclusively on Xbox.
