Space Empires: Starfury Available for Preorder

On April 29th Shrapnel Games announced the upcoming release of Space Empires: Starfury. Within hours the Shrapnel mailbox had begun to see one request, over and over again. At first the request was but a trickle. Soon though it was flood from gamers all around the globe. The request? "When can I preorder Starfury?"

"The response has been staggering," Tim Brooks, Shrapnel Games' president and founder, was proud to report. "There are a lot of folks out there who obviously can't wait to get their hands on Starfury."

For those folks who have been looking forward to preordering, today is the day. Shrapnel Games will begin to take preorders on Space Empires: Starfury. As is usually the case, those who take advantage of preordering (and thus guaranteeing a copy of this highly anticipated title) will receive $5.00 off the purchase price. This preorder special will be effect until July 15th.

Space Empires: Starfury is the latest entry in Malfador Machinations' Space Empires series. Take a pinch of Star Fleet Battles, a dash of Privateer, and a heaping spoonful of Space Empires IV. Blend them together until gameplay is both detailed and highly intuitive. Presto, you've just made Space Empires: Starfury!

Unlike previous Space Empires games the player is not in control of a vast intergalactic realm, but rather a single starship. With this starship Starfury players are free to pursue their own goals, whether they be fame, fortune, or just blasting to space dust anyone who gets in their way. While there are missions to follow ultimately the most fun will be had by players charting their own destiny and creating their own dramas.
