MADDEN NFL 2005 COLLECTOR’S EDITION FROM EA SPORTS AVAILABLE IN AUGUST WITH EXCLUSIVE FEATURES
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – June 3, 2004— Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) announced that a special collector’s edition of Madden NFL 2005 will be available when the regular Madden NFL 2005 launches to celebrate 15 years of the best-selling sports franchise in North America. With nearly 37 million copies sold, Madden NFL Football continues to stand out as the most popular football videogame franchise of all time with a combination of innovative new features and the most authentic football gameplay. Madden NFL Football is currently displayed in the Pro Football Hall of Fame—the only videogame to receive this honor.
Madden NFL 2005 Collector’s Edition, only available for the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, contains all the features of the regular version, plus a wealth of bonus content, including: playable classic versions of Madden from the 16-bit era and two versions from the PlayStation® console era; a Madden trivia challenge with more than 1000 questions; Madden Moments, where players can relive the greatest moments of the past 15 seasons; and historical playoff teams from the past 15 years with their authentic uniforms.
