Technical Issue Identified in Final Fantasy XI
Future update will correct
problem in MMP title
A technical issue which forces the game to quit to Windows has been identified
in the massively multiplayer online role-playing title Final Fantasy XI.
According to the official game site:
"The following technical error has
been identified and will be fixed in the future version update.
- An issue involving a forced quit to Windows when certain monsters use their
special attacks (i.e. the Tonberries' "Throat Stab") has been identified.
This issue only occurs on the Windows version when the following effect filters
(found in the Main Menu under Config) are turned on:
Monster --> you
Monster --> monster
Monster --> party
Monster --> non-party PC
To avoid such trouble, we suggest that you leave the above-mentioned filters off
until the version update has been implemented.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
*Previously, this news item indicated that only the "Monster --> you" filter
need be turned off, when in fact all of the "Monster" filters must be turned off
in order for this solution to work properly. This has now been amended, and we
apologize for the confusion."
