INFOGRAMES UNFURLS EXPLOSIVE BATTLESTORM WITH OPERATION BLOCKADE™

Military Shooter Offers Thundering Waves of Firepower

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – May 29, 2002 -- Infogrames, Inc (Nasdaq: IFGM) is pleased to announce that Operation Blockade is shipping to retail stores this week. Operation Blockade offers electrifying arcade action with increasingly difficult game play to appeal to casual and military enthusiasts alike.

Operation Blockade challenges players with fast paced ‘shoot ‘em up’ action,” said Dennis Davidson, marketing manager of Infogrames Minneapolis studio. “This game entrusts players with the defense of their country as an increasing number of enemy ships and games try to determine its fate. With wave after wave of progressive difficulty, Operation Blockade begs to be played many times over.”

Set in January 1930, enemy forces are assaulting your homeland. To save their country, players are positioned on a tiny island where they set up their offensive and defensive positions. Players intercept and annihilate their assailants with a thundering bombardment of artillery from the 1930s and 1940s. The game features including historically accurate military weapons such as Me-109s and Howitzers and vehicles like Tiger Tanks.

Confronting players are air, land and sea forces that rival those of any nation. Carriers and their deadly assortment of fighter-attack planes and bombers; PT boats, submarines and landing craft are on a crusade to eradicate your small blocking force.

Expertly crafted explosions, firestorms and sinking ships plus pulse-pounding 360-degree field of fire add to the chaos of war.

Special missions appear throughout the game and a cooperative multiplayer mode enhances your ability to engage troops on multiple fronts.

Developed by Screaming Games, Operation Blockade is available at retail stores for the suggested retail price of $19.99.
