Gameloft and Endemol USA to Bring ‘1 vs. 100’ to Mobile Phones

‘1 vs. 100: The Mobile Game’ To Debut this Fall

Gameloft has announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Endemol USA to develop and publish the mobile game version of the hit TV game show 1 vs. 100, which registers 10 million viewers per week.

Brought to you by Endemol USA, the world’s largest independent production company with global hit franchises such as Deal or No Deal and Big Brother, 1 vs. 100 is the newest international hit TV game show where one contestant takes on a “mob” of 100 everyday people, including geniuses, valedictorians, grandmothers and other game show champs. Players must answer questions correctly to win the grand prize of $1 million.

“Bringing the on-air experience to the mobile games category is an ideal brand extension and wonderful opportunity for both parties,” said Gonzague de Vallois, vice president of Publishing, Gameloft. “The show’s viewers are not only savvy mobile phone users, but avid participants and we’re excited to deliver their favorite show to their mobile phones.”

“We have already had phenomenal success integrating viewer interactivity into our hit game shows like Deal or No Deal and 1 vs. 100 within the on air broadcasts,” said Jon Vlassopulos, Vice President, Digital Media at Endemol. “It is clear that fans enjoy engaging with the show and so providing them a way to play anytime anywhere on their phones is a natural extension. We are looking forward to seeing it become a top seller!”

In the 1 vs. 100 mobile game, players will have a chance to take on a “mob” of 100 opponents from their mobile phones. The game takes players and fans right into the middle of the competition where one wrong answer could send them packing without a penny.
