SEGA SPORTS EXPLODES AT E3 WITH GAMES IN ALL MAJOR CATEGORIES FOR ALL PLATFORMS 

Highly Acclaimed Sega Sports Franchise Launches onto Multiple Platforms and Expands to Include Tennis, College Football and Hockey Titles

LOS ANGELES, CA - Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) - (May 17, 2001) - Sega Sports(tm) is everywhere! Sega® of America today announced a bold new direction for its Sega Sports franchise, expanding its unparalleled line-up onto all gaming platforms, and creating games in all major sports categories. Sega's move reinforces its commitment to becoming the leading third party publisher worldwide. To kick things off, Sega Sports announces two key titles with "Sega Sports(tm) NFL 2K2" and "Sega Sports(tm) NBA 2K2," for the Sega Dreamcast(tm) video game console, the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system from Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. and the Xbox(tm) video game system from Microsoft® this Fall.

Sega Sports welcomes to its bold new starting line-up this year the first online baseball title for Dreamcast, "Sega Sports(tm) World Series® Baseball 2K2," and the first college football title for Dreamcast, "Sega Sports(tm) NCAA College Football 2K2," as well as bringing back the popular Sega Sports(tm) NHL 2K series. In addition, the sequel to last year's smash hit, "Virtua Tennis(tm)," will join the Sega Sports brand umbrella.
