Atlus U.S.A., Inc. announces dual-language option for "Disgaea™: Hour of Darkness" for release exclusively on the PlayStation 2 Computer Entertainment System in the fall of 2003.
Language Option: Japanese / English – Push X to Confirm?
Irvine, CA (May 14, 2003) - The sensational strategy role-playing game from Japan, Disgaea: Hour of Darkness receives a highly requested feature in the form of a dual-language option for the U.S. version of the game.
"We understand the fans' preferences with regards to the voiced dialogue localization of games from Japan," said Yu Namba, Project Leader at Atlus. "The DVD format allows us to include both English and the original Japanese dialogue in a game, which gives fans the flexibility to enjoy the experience according to their personal tastes."
The Japanese option will feature an unedited version of the Japanese game with all of the original music and voices intact. While the English version will feature an all new English voice over cast along with a modified soundtrack.
Synopsis The Netherworld – a realm darker than the deepest abyss, located far beneath where mortals tread. It is a cursed land where evil reigns and foul beings dwell. Nobody knows its whereabouts, but everybody fears its existence...
The story takes place two years after the death of King Krichevskoy, the ruler of the Netherworld. His son Laharl awakens from a long sleep, unaware of his father's death. Meanwhile, scheming demons vie for supremacy over the Netherworld. With the help of his subordinate Etna and her underlings, the egocentric, self-absorbed Prince Laharl must fight to regain the throne and claim his birthright.
