Stainless Steel Studios Announces Commercial Release of Titan 2.0

Engine Full source code to multi-million unit selling engine available for commercial use

BOSTON, Mass., May 11th – Stainless Steel Studios, Inc., creators of the critically acclaimed, best-selling PC strategy titles Empire Earth and Empires: Dawn of the Modern World, announced today that the company has released its 2nd generation, real-time 3D game engine, Titan 2.0, for the Windows operating system built specifically for strategy games. Empire Earth was awarded the title of “PC Game of the Year” by leading industry editorial site GameSpy. The two games have sold over 2.5 million units worldwide since their release.

Stainless Steel, headed by Rick Goodman, the lead designer of the award-winning, multi-million unit selling game, Age of Empires, built the Titan 2.0 engine to be the only 100% complete engine designed specifically for strategy games. Tilted Mill Entertainment is the first to license Titan 2.0. “The TITAN 2.0 engine gave us a lot more than we had hoped for, frankly. It is remarkably stable, robust, and flexible" said Chris Beatrice, President and Director of Development, of Tilted Mill Entertainment. "Within a couple of weeks we had something that looked good and worked really well.”
