ROBOT BATTLE PROGRAMMING CONTEST 2003 Create a robot and compete for cool prizes

SEATTLE, WA - May 12, 2003 - Lunkwill Labs and GarageGames announce the first annual Robot Battle programming contest; a battle of wits to see who can design and code the smartest most adaptable fighting robot. The contest challenges players to devise their own autonomous robot for a head to head fight to the finish.

Robots must outmaneuver and outgun opponents in an arena populated with mines and energy bonuses. The last robot standing is the winner. Everyone is invited to enter and compete for prizes including Microsoft Visual C++ 2003, a GarageGames Torque engine license, free games, and other GarageGames apparel.

No previous programming experience is required to create a robot. Robots are coded using a simple built-in scripting language that is easy to learn. Robot Battle includes extensive tutorials and help documentation that teach everything from basic programming skills to advanced robot creation.

There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary. To create a robot, contestants may download the free demo version of Robot Battle from GarageGames http://www.garagegames.com/pg/product/view.php?id=4 . About Robot Battle:

Robot Battle is a programming game that challenges players to design and program adaptable battling robots. Robot Battle is unique because unlike many games, it does not require reflexes, accuracy, or timing to succeed.
