A Wii and DS Player's Guide to Roogoo Attack! and Roogoo Twisted Towers
Developers' guide explores Wii islands and NDS underwater areas
So you are planning on snagging a copy of Roogoo Twisted Towers for the Wii but are not exactly certain what you should be doing once you get it into your gaming rig. Well, don't despair, help is on the way. Southpeak Interactive and developer SpiderMonk Entertainment present a player guide to Roogoo Twisted Towers, the action title slated to hit the Wii gaming platform very soon. The first guide can be found here and the second zone guide can be found here. And now, without further ado ...
Environment 4: Islands (Wii)
After players trudge their way out of the world of Ice, they will soon find themselves trapped in the mysterious and alluring region of Roo known as the Islands. Keep a lookout because those pesky butterflies have returned to do whatever it takes to keep players from completing their tasks!
The Islands are filled with plenty of opportunities for players to show those nasty Meemoos that they won’t back down from a challenge that easily. Meteors will be falling faster than ever as they come rushing down towards the Islands in groups of one, three, or even ten blocks. The challenges won’t stop there – Meemoos will be traveling by hot air balloons, skydiving by the dozens while tossing bombs, and blocking those magical meteors’ paths in an attempt to stop Roogoo from achieving his goal.
Players will also find themselves with a new meteor shape, the pink heart, for several of the regions. The heart can also be found in the aerial lightning arena, where Meemoos have taken control of several fighter jets and are ruthlessly dropping missiles in an attempt to take Roogoo down once and for all.
Bonus tip! For the people who have their Nintendo DS, they will be able to conquer the meteors in a lightning-fast round of falling meteors.
Environment 4: Underwater (DS)
After hiking through the mountains, players will dive deep into the depths of Planet Roo’s Underwater region in search of more meteors. While underwater, players will also get to assemble treasure chests and gather booty while enjoying the serenity of the deep blue sea.
Of course, the Roogoo are not alone here; Prince Moo is still determined to steal all of the meteors and he brings mines and additional Meemoo along with him. As players stack meteors and rotate platforms, Prince Moo commands either Meemoos or mines to hinder the safe passage of meteors like he did on the Mountains. In addition to these hazards, the blockers and rotating platforms are back too so players must be very alert to avoid losing meteors. If unsuccessful, players will watch their lost shapes slowly drift away with the current.
Before advancing to the next level, players will have a chance to skydive and dry off. However, these players must watch out for more mines that have been unleashed in the skies.
